Gary loved fishing and fireworks and enjoyed creating spectacular displays for the Fourth of July. He met Beverly Jacobson in June of 1985, they married in 1987 in Coeur d’Alene, ID, and were married for 33 years.

Lynn Poore (Shapiro)
Gary was a friend to many kids at CLCHS. Outgoing and talkative describe him well. We chatted on the phone while doing homework and swapped stories about the local scene, personal issues or just places we'd been or places we want to go. He lucked out ,and lived near the mountains all these years in Idaho. Some tears today after Nancy Kieffer (Weaver) called to ask if I'd opened my email yet. We recalled fun times and long chats.
